Edinburgh Airport appoints Peter Barnes as new Chief Operations Officer
Edinburgh Airport has appointed Peter Barnes as its new Chief Operations Officer (COO), following a period serving in an interim capacity. Barnes has worked at the airport for more than a decade, holding senior roles across operations, security and airfield management, and brings additional experience from previous positions at Royal Bank of Scotland, Motorola and Gore-Tex.
In his role, Barnes will lead day-to-day airport operations, overseeing airfield activity, terminal operations, security and resilience, while contributing to the airport’s long-term expansion plans.

His ability to analyse challenges and implement effective solutions has already brought significant benefits, and I’m confident he will continue to drive innovation and resilience as we prepare for an exciting period of growth."
