Reporting directly to AGS’ Chief Operating Officer, Ronald Leitch, Williams will assume his new role on 1 January 2026, joining from Southampton Airport where he has held the same position since February 2024.

Prior to joining AGS, Williams spent five years with the Manchester Airports Group (MAG), where he held various operational roles at East Midlands, London Stansted and Manchester airports.

AGS was acquired by AviAlliance, one of the world's leading private airport operators, earlier this year and it has committed to investing £350m over the next five years in the growth and decarbonisation of its airports.

In addition to the comprehensive transformation of Glasgow Airport’s main terminal building, AGS will also direct investment into airfield infrastructure and energy efficiency initiatives, ensuring the airport is equipped to meet the growing and future demand from both customers and airline partners.

Ronald Leitch, Chief Operating Officer at AGS, said, “Gavin will join Glasgow at what will be a pivotal moment in its development as we embark on our ambitious terminal transformation and expansion programme.”

Commenting on his appointment, Williams said, “This is an exciting time for Glasgow Airport, and I am relishing the opportunity of leading the team as we undertake what will be the largest capital investment programme in the airport’s history.”
