Manchester Airports Group (MAG) has selected 20 contractors for a framework covering building, civil engineering and mechanical and electrical works at Manchester, Stansted and East Midlands airports.

The framework has an estimated value of £500m excluding VAT. It covers individual projects worth up to £5m and is scheduled to run for five years from December 2026, with an option to extend by up to three years.
The nine lots are divided by airport and type of work, allowing MAG to appoint contractors for projects across its three airport estates.
Building works will include new construction, fit-outs and refurbishment of terminals, offices and commercial areas. Civil engineering packages cover roads, bridges, utilities and drainage, while mechanical, electrical and plumbing contractors will undertake installations, upgrades, inspections and testing.
Each individual project will be worth no more than £5m.
Lancashire-based W H Good was the most successful contractor, securing places on building and mechanical, electrical and plumbing lots at all three airports. VolkerFitzpatrick secured five places across building, civil engineering and mechanical and electrical packages.
The framework comes as MAG continues investment across its airport portfolio. The group is progressing a £1.1bn expansion programme at Stansted, including a terminal extension and supporting infrastructure, while East Midlands Airport has a £120m improvement programme covering terminal refurbishment, heating and cooling upgrades, taxiways and airfield infrastructure.
