Former Aviation Minister and Chair AIR Steering Committee
Robert is a former Transport Minister and was MP for Witney and West Oxfordshire from 2016 to 2024. He served on several select committees before becoming Parliamentary Under Secretary of State with responsibility for aviation and maritime. He later chaired the Defence Select Committee and served as Solicitor General for England and Wales. A barrister by background, Robert now advises businesses through independent consultancy Ascalane Partners and remains active across the aviation, defence and maritime sectors. He also chairs AIR’s Advisory Board
