Sustainable Innovation at Gatwick's Pier 6 Extension
Gatwick’s Pier 6 Western Extension will add eight new pier-served aircraft stands, enabling around one million passengers a year to board directly from the pier rather than travelling by bus to remote stands. The project demonstrates how airports can increase capacity while reducing carbon, combining smarter design, operational efficiency and better use of existing airport infrastructure.
