Rachel Gardner-Poole OBE FRAeS

Rachel is an award-winning executive, board adviser and speaker with experience across aviation, infrastructure, sustainability and transformation. She has held senior roles at the UK Civil Aviation Authority and UK Space Agency, and was Chief Operating Officer of a UK innovation organisation focused on transport and cities.
Much of Rachel’s work has involved bringing together people with different perspectives to move complex issues forward. Appointed by UK government ministers to chair a national government-industry group on aviation’s transition to net zero, she now works through Aviascia with organisations on sustainability, transformation, growth and delivery.
Rachel is also a Board Advisor to Astroscale, Chair and co-founder of Aviation for Good, and serves on the board of the British Aviation Group. A Chartered Mathematician and former commercial pilot licence holder, she was awarded an OBE in the King’s 2025 Birthday Honours for services to aviation.
