The airport said the new frameworks will help deliver a range of infrastructure projects aimed at improving operational efficiency, passenger experience and sustainability. The appointments follow the launch of a Design Services Framework in 2025 as part of a broader strategy to modernise airport infrastructure and strengthen long-term supply chain partnerships.

According to the airport, the selected suppliers will support projects including pier refurbishments, terminal upgrades, self-service check-in enhancements and the installation of electric vehicle charging infrastructure. The frameworks will also be used to deliver asset replacement programmes, capacity improvements, regulatory compliance projects and operational efficiency initiatives.

The 11 companies appointed to the frameworks are BP Installations, Camgo Electrical, Costain, Gatwick Construction, Lagan Aviation & Infrastructure, M Group Transport, Mace Construct, Morgan Sindall Construction and Infrastructure, P J Carey, P.J. Hegarty & Sons and 8build.

Framework-based procurement models are becoming increasingly common across the aviation sector, providing airports with long-term access to specialist contractors while allowing projects to be delivered more quickly and consistently.

London Gatwick said the framework structure has been designed to increase opportunities for small and medium-sized enterprises. The agreements typically include commitments related to carbon management, local employment and wider social value objectives.

Alasdair Scobie, Capital Programmes Director at London Gatwick, said the frameworks form part of the airport's wider investment programme and are intended to support improvements in operational performance while helping the airport meet its sustainability goals.

Chris Elliott, also Capital Programmes Director, said the appointments would strengthen the airport's supply chain and support the delivery of future infrastructure projects.

The framework agreements form part of London Gatwick's wider six-year sustainable growth programme, which includes plans to invest around £2bn in infrastructure and operational improvements. The airport is also pursuing its target of becoming a net-zero airport for its own operations by 2030 and is progressing plans to increase capacity through the routine use of its Northern Runway.

London Gatwick handled approximately 43m passengers in 2025 and remains the UK's second-busiest airport.
